Hearing leak: Bethesda is preparing to announce Prey VR – exclusive to PlayStation VR

Company Bethesda softworks is preparing to release a shooter Prey VR. The game has not yet been officially announced, but for some time today it was available for pre-order on the site of a major British online retailer Shopto. The page has already been deleted.

It stated that the game would sell for £ 49.99 (£ 44.95 including discounts) and would become an exclusive virtual reality helmet Playstation VR.

There are no other details at the moment, so it is not yet clear whether we are talking about the VR version of the original Prey in 2017, as was the case with Skyrim VR and Fallout 4 VR, or Bethesda is preparing a separate game by analogy with DOOM VFR. At the same time, the usual Prey already has partial support for helmets on the PS4 and PC. At the end of 2018, the Typhon Hunter update was released for the Mooncrash extension, adding a network asymmetric mode and a single TranStar VR campaign, where gamers need to solve puzzles at Talos-1 station in VR.

It is possible that the official announcement of Prey VR will be timed to coincide with the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Arkane Studios. On the occasion of the anniversary, the studio launched the Arkane 20 initiative last week, in which fans will receive gifts and a lot of news in the coming weeks.
