Edition editor Bloomberg Jason Schreyer reports citing its sources that the big-budget game in the Harry Potter universe, the first frames from which leaked to the network about two years ago, should go on sale in late 2023. The full list of platforms is still unknown, but the novelty will definitely appear on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
The game is played by Avalanche Software Studio, known for projects such as Disney Infinity and Cars. Harry Potter fans are promised an “AAA-class RPG with a great open world.” Among the locations available for research, mention is made of the Hogwarts School of Magic and the surrounding areas.
Avalanche Software employees who spoke with Schreyer also said that Joan Rowling, who invented the Harry Potter world, did not take part in the creation of the game. However, the studio is worried that the writer’s civic stance, which she expresses on Twitter, can harm the game. Rowling has recently been accused of transphobia.
The announcement of the long-term construction will not take place in August 2023 at the DC FanDome festival, where Warner Bros. going to show the new Batman.
