A year after the release on personal computers, a hardcore network shooter Insurgency: Sandstorm finally got a clear release date for consoles. According to the announcement made today, publishing house Focus home interactive and studio New world interactive will release the game on Xbox one and Playstation 4 at the end of summer, August 25th. Initially, the release was expected in the spring.
The developers note that console gamers will have a hardcore image of modern warfare based on deadly battles in a limited space and multi-player / cooperative goal-oriented gameplay, where the calculation of ballistics, the use of equipment, artillery and realistic sound design help create feelings of fear and realistic warfare.
The computer version of Insurgency: Sandstorm was released on Steam in December 2018.
