Google has canceled the annual conference for developers of Google I / O 2023. This event was supposed to be held on May 12, but because of the coronavirus pandemic this will not happen.
The company said they did it in the name of caring for the health and safety of company employees, developers and the local population. Thus, the eleventh version of Android will not be presented in May, because the company, contrary to expectations, will not even hold an online version of the event.
However, it is not yet known when the operating system will be introduced. Judging by the company’s statement, Google I / O 2023 will not take place. Either the developers will hold a separate event, or the release will be released later.
In addition, new smartphones of the line will certainly be delayed. Pixel. So, last year smartphones debuted at I / O 2019 Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. Note that earlier Apple canceled a WWDC 2023 event similar to Google I / O.
