Company Google announced the end of support for the virtual reality platform Daydream VR with an exit Android 11… She also noted that the corresponding applications may not work correctly on the new OS version. However, existing users will retain access to the content.

“Daydream VR software is no longer supported. You can still access the service, but it will no longer receive updates, ”said Google.

Daydream VR was launched in November 2016. Speaking to Variety last year, a Google spokesperson said the project was being abandoned because “Over time we have noticed some clear limitations that prevent smartphone VR from becoming a viable long-term solution.”… It was one of the two largest VR platforms on Android. The second – Samsung Gear VR – is still supported by the developer.
