Good news for True Detective fans

Cable Network Guide HBO is looking for writers to work on the fourth season of the crime anthology series “True detective“. About this in an interview with the portal Deadline said the head of HBO’s content production department Casey Blois

Negotiations are currently underway with several screenwriters to help set True Detective in a new direction, he said. If the final version of the script seems to be of high quality to the management, the project will be put into production. That is, now the fans have real hope for a continuation.

The first season of “True Detective”, in which the main roles were performed Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, was released in 2014 and gained cult status among viewers. Released in 2015, the second season received mixed reviews, but it boasted a richer cast, which they joined Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor kitsch and Vince Vaughn

The third and final season of True Detective with Mahershaloy Ali and Stephen Dorff starring was released in 2019 and became, according to many fans, the correct follower of the ideas of the first season. Showrunner for all three seasons was Nick Pizzolattowho later left the project.
