Development manager God of War Corey Barlog told in an interview Playstation accessthat I would like to tell the story of the meeting of Kratos and Fay, but do not yet know how and when to do it. Journalists asked Barlog why the players did not meet with the protagonist’s wife, to which the developer replied – users were simply not ready for this. However, in the original God of War, the character’s story was structured in such a way that Barlog could tell more about Faye in the sequel.
“Regarding the story of the meeting between Faye and Kratos; it makes less sense if you do not know anything about the future of the protagonist. To meet her, you need to feel like who you are – we just told the story about it – this is very important for understanding the character. She has her own mythology, which is built in such a way that the first meeting of Fay with Kratos and the period of time that they spend together are not associated with any battle or action.
They are both warriors who have reached the point in their life when they do not want to fight anymore because they have revealed the reasons why they did it. The meeting takes place at the very time and at the very moment when they are ready to lay down their arms. This fundamentally changes both of them. ”
Barlog said that Fay has great power and controls a lot in the game world.
“Someday you will realize that she has much more power than everyone else, and she controls a lot in this world. I don’t know how we are going to tell about it or when we will do it, but I really want to tell the story of the meeting between Fay and Kratos, ”he concluded.
Earlier, Corey Barlog announced that he will visit the Consumer Electronics Show 2023, which will be held from January 7 to 10.
God of War was released exclusively on PlayStation 4 on April 20, 2018.
