Swedish holding Embracer Group (parent company THQ Nordic, Deep Silver, Coffee Stain, Amplifier Game Invest, Saber Interactive) acquired 13 new companies, including 11 game studios. The complete list looks like this:
- 34BigThings (Authors of the Redout racing franchise will become part of the Saber Interactive label);
- A Thinking Ape Entertainment (Canadian mobile games studio to join DECA Games);
- Coffee stain north (Swedish developers A Story About My Uncle will be working under the Coffee Stain Studios label; a new game is expected in 2023);
- Flying Wild Hog (Polish developers of the Shadow Warrior series will come under the control of the Koch Media Group; The deal was $ 137.2 million; 4 new games are in development, including Shadow Warrior 3 and an unannounced project);
- IUGO Mobile Entertainment (Authors of mobile games PvPets: Tank Battle Royale and The Walking Dead: Road to Survival will join the DECA Games label);
- Mad head games (Developers of the Mystery Case Files and Dark Parables series come under the wing of Saber Interactive);
- Nimble Giant Entertainment (Authors of the online shooter Quantum League will join the label Saber Interactive);
- Purple lamp studios (The creators of the recent remake of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom will join THQ Nordic);
- Quantic Lab (Romanian quality control outsourcing company will be taken over by Embracer Group);
- Silent Games (A newly formed company developing a series of games in the original setting. The release of the first project is scheduled for 2023. The English studio will become part of Amplifier Game Invest);
- Snapshot Games (American-Bulgarian studio-developer of turn-based strategy with elements of tactics Phoenix Point will work under the label Saber Interactive);
- Sandbox Strategies (PR agency dealing with interaction with influencers and the community. Specializes in the creation of entertainment content related to video games);
- Zen Studios (The creators of Operencia: The Stolen Sun and the Pinball FX series. The Hungarian studio will become part of Saber Interactive).
In August of this year, the Swedish company acquired eight more studios, among which were Ukrainian developers of the Metro series.
