Fans of Legends will be able to upgrade to Director’s Cut by paying € 50 or € 60 for the PS4 or PS5 version respectively.

It is not necessary to purchase the director’s cut to play Rivals. PS4 and PS5 owners will be able to play together, and progress in the new mode will be saved regardless of which console the user is playing on.

The rules in “Rivals” will be as follows: two teams of two people reflect the waves of the enemy attacking. Each defeated enemy brings magatam points that can be used against the other team, for example, summon a shadow that will prevent opponents from spending magatam; impose curses in the form of health damage, exploding corpses, and more; use hwacha fire and more. Having spent enough points, the team will proceed to the final phase, in which it is necessary to defeat the enemies before their rivals.

In addition, with the release of Rivals, the developers intend to introduce a new system of knowledge of equipment. After receiving level 110 equipment, players will be able to bind it to a class and activate mastery challenges.

After that, the ki of an item of equipment can be improved to level 120, and over time, a cell for the second talent will open. By activating Mastery Challenges, players will be able to unlock new abilities and techniques for each class.

Finally, every week from September 10 to October 1, Sucker Punch will be adding new content to the game: maps for the Rivals, maps for the survival mode inspired by the island of Iki and the world of Iyo, and an advanced version of last year’s Raid.

On August 20, the director’s cut of Ghost of Tsushima with the Iki Island expansion will go on sale.
