Genesis postponed until February – review

Studio Wildcard announced that addition Genesis to the survivor Ark: Survival Evolved again will not be on time. Initially, the first part was promised to be released in December 2019, then the dates shifted to January. And now the developers have announced a new date: February 25th.

The creators of Ark are sure that the next delay will benefit both the addition and the base game. It will give the studio the opportunity to polish the innovations and balance them with existing systems.

In addition, the free time will allow the team to think through and prepare a special event for Valentine’s Day. Initially, they were planning to miss the holiday of lovers, since it was due to the “hot” time for the release of the innovation.

The Genesis add-on will bring a new story campaign and a map with unimaginable creatures to the game. For example, giant turtles, on the back of which you can build your base. Additional biomes will open, in particular, the lunar with reduced gravity.

In addition, the first talking companion, HLN-A artificial intelligence, will appear in the game. He will accompany the players from the very beginning of the game, telling them plot details and explaining the features of survival.
