One Reddit user got a controller DualSense from the console Playstation 5 before the official start of sales and tested it for compatibility with different devices via wire and Bluetooth.
The enthusiast, in particular, checked if the new gamepad is supported by the system PlayStation 4. The controller is successfully connected via Bluetooth and recognized, but none of the buttons work. Perhaps the problem can be fixed in the new firmware.
At the same time, DualSense surprisingly “made friends” with the old woman Playstation 3… The user was able to connect the controller by wire and play with it in inFamous 2 – according to him, only the PlayStation button and vibration did not work… He also tried connecting the gamepad to the PS3 via Bluetooth. When connected wirelessly, the controller functions in the XMB menu, but stops responding as soon as the game starts.
In addition, the author also tested DualSense on Windows 10 and Android. At the moment, the results are:
- Steam on PC in Big Picture mode – lags regardless of connection;
- PS Remote Play on PC – works well with a wired connection (there was even vibration in God of War 3), but is not recognized via Bluetooth;
- PS Remote Play on Android – does not work at all, although it connects to the smartphone itself normally.
