Violent video games, including crime action Grand theft auto vshould disappear from sale, says US congressman Marcus Evans Jr., reports Chicago Sun-Times… He filed a bill to ban them, citing, in particular, the increased number of car thefts in Chicago.
In the bill itself, a popular game from Rockstar games not listed, but the official did mention it at a press conference.
According to the politician, games by type Grand Theft Autowhere carjacking and other criminal activities occurring in everyday life, cause psychological harm to users and promote violence, therefore they must be completely banned.
“Grand Theft Auto and other violent video games are capturing the minds of our young people by teaching them that stealing cars is okay,” Evans said. “Car theft is not normal and must stop.”
According to the local press, in January this year alone, Chicago police received 218 reports of car theft.
