The tech blogger confirmed that the game developed by Massive studio works in native 4K resolution only on Xbox series x… PS5 boasts a value 1944p, and Xbox series s – 1080p… Xbox Series X offers the best visual quality so far. Problems with reflections, fog, anisotropic filtering and draw distance were found on PlayStation 5. On the other hand, Sony’s new console offers 60FPS without drawdown, while frame drops occasionally occur on the Xbox Series X and S.
Key features of The Division 2 for Xbox Series and PS5:
- The Division 2 runs on new consoles in backward compatibility mode. Several graphical issues arise on the PS5;
- The game runs in native 4K (2160p) on Xbox Series X, and 1080p on Xbox Series S. On Playstation 5, the figure is 1944p;
- Downloads are faster on Xbox consoles;
- Occasionally Xbox Series S has problems loading textures.
- Almost all the effects (reflections, fog, anisotropic filtering and rendering distance) on the Xbox Series X are better than on the Playstation 5. Considering that there were no such problems on PS4, we can talk about bugs in the patch;
- On PlayStation 5, the frame rate is constant at 60 FPS. On Xbox consoles, sometimes there are small drawdowns of the frame rate (by 1-4 FPS, but rarely and mainly in battles);
- Water effects in a number of locations do not work well on Xbox Series X and Playstation 5, but perform well on Xbox Series S.
