Free the Skies: A Comparison of Console Versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator

Several new videos have been published on the Web, which compare the console versions of the flight simulator Microsoft Flight Simulator. And on their basis, preliminary conclusions can be drawn. Information provided by YouTube channels ObisidianAnt, Xboxsquad.fr and edition Windows Central

According to preliminary data, Xbox Series X outputs 4K / 30fps in flight simulator, and Xbox Series S – 1080p / 30fps. Moreover, developers from Asobo use dynamic resolution.

When flying over cities, you can see that the Series S has reduced the draw range and detail of objects. In some places, short-term performance drops are noticeable (most of all on Series S), although you need to understand that bloggers and journalists launched a preview build.

Apparently, on the Xbox Series X, the game is set differently from the PC version.

The console version of Microsoft Flight Simulator is out on July 27th. On the same day, an update will be released that should significantly improve the performance of the PC version.
