Update (March 2, 01:00): A 60-second trailer excerpt leaked.
In the video, the narrator says the following:
“I can only guess what prompts you to go in search of Elden Ring. I guess I can’t talk you into changing your mind. Well, good!“.
In the video itself, which VGC journalists managed to watch, they show the montage of battles in the style Dark souls, a battle with a huge fire-breathing dragon, an opponent with a large sword and a small hint of horseback riding in a huge open world.
The developers in the video describe Elden Ring as “new RPG action in a fantasy setting from the creators of Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice“.
Several frames have leaked into the network – journalists have already confirmed their authenticity.
According to VGC, the production of the game has been significantly delayed due to the global pandemic and the need to work remotely – the release date has already been postponed several times. One of the developers told reporters that the project may not be released even this year.
Elden Ring’s first show is expected within a month, but not at the event Microsoft – it is expected on March 23, but there will be no high-profile world premieres. As noted by journalist Imran Khan, Bandai Namco will simply release a trailer for the project without preliminary announcements.
