Rossini has worked at Square Enix for over nine years. Between 2008 and 2014, he was Director of Strategic Planning and Corporate Communications. The description states that he was directly involved in forging connections between Square Enix and platform holders, as well as the formation of agreements on exclusivity and marketing activities.

The temporary exclusivity of Rise of the Tomb Raider was announced in 2014 by the head of the Xbox Phil Spencer, and the game debuted in the fall of 2015 as part of “the largest lineup in Xbox history.”

A Microsoft spokesman admitted that the Xbox portfolio lacked an exclusive hit in the spirit of Uncharted, and viewed Rise of the Tomb Raider as a counterpart.

Lara Croft’s adventure reached PlayStation 4 in October 2016.
