2K Games formally introduced Mafia trilogy, announcing a large-scale remake of the first part – the truth is, we all knew this a week ago after a leak from the Microsoft store.
It is important to know that the game is created from scratch, and they plan to expand the story through new dialogs, cutscenes, gameplay segments and other innovations. The project uses an updated version of the engine Mafia iii.
Judging by the frames presented, visually it will be the most impressive part of the series to date. True, they did not prepare fresh videos for the announcement.
The remake will be released on August 28 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC, and the cost will be “only” $ 40. You can also access it when you buy the Mafia trilogy, which will be released today – it includes, among other things, a remaster Mafia ii and full edition Mafia iii.
By the way, a remake will be shown on June 6 at the PC Gaming Show.

Holders of the original Mafia II on Steam will receive a remaster for free, and customers of Mafia III on PS4, Xbox One and PC will be updated to full release. It seems that all the storyline DLC of the third part will be presented to all players.
Owners of some part of the series will be able to get a discount on the Mafia trilogy – it is activated in the game menu, which was purchased from the user.
