As previously known, the game takes place 23 years after “Alien 3”, however, the creators have now revealed that the game will have a common storyline running through all campaigns.
By the beginning of the events of the game (2202), colonization in the universe became more active, and the player’s battalion was sent to patrol a kind of “space frontier”. On the way, the ship receives a distress signal from LV-895, after which the xenomorphs are already entering the scene.
One of the main events in the universe before that was the act on the protection of the colonies, adopted in 2187 – roughly speaking, the government decided to intervene in the activities of corporations that could do anything on the margins of space, causing a lot of problems. The player becomes the representative of the squad to protect the “interests of citizens”.
The project will also receive a prequel novel titled Aliens: Infiltrator – the action takes place on the object Weyland-Yutaniwhere scientists are experimenting with xenomorph biomaterial on other creatures. The heroes expect a fresh supply of “space eggs”, but something quickly begins to go wrong.
Also, the authors once again reminded that the game will have extensive customization and a large number of weapons with modifications – about 30 guns and about 70-80 improvements to them. At the same time, the guns were created with an eye on the firms that produced it – there are even products Hyperdyne Systemsresponsible for creating Ash and Bishop In movie.
Aliens: Fireteam will be released this summer on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC.
