Filmmakers stood up for John Boyegu after his speech at the protests

In London, a protest was held in memory of the deceased in the United States, George Floyd and other victims among African Americans, in which the actor John Boyega (Star Wars) made an emotional speech.

Basically, he discussed the problems of racism and urged people to make a difference.

Black lives have always mattered. We have always been important. They were someone. We have always succeeded in spite of. And now is the time. I will not wait.

At a certain point, the actor touched on the topic of his career, noting that he did not know how the conversation would affect his fate, but he could not remain silent longer.

I don’t know if I will have a career after that, but *** with her.

When the last cue was noted in Twitter, then representatives of the film industry began to pay attention to her, who supported the actor and expressed a desire to work with him.

Author “Away” and “We” Jordan Peel assured the public that he would “catch John.” Creator “Black Mirror” Charlie Brucker wrote that he’s “ready to crawl through the glass tunnel” if the actor agrees to at least look at his scripts.

Willingness to work with the actor expressed: Lyn Manuel Miranda (Hamilton) Christopher Miller (Macho and Nerd, Spider-Man: Through the Universes), Seth Graham Smith (“The Lego Movie: Batman”), Bill lawrence (“Clinic”) and many others.

Star Wars representatives did not stand aside – directors Ryan Johnson and J.J. Abrams expressed their love for the actor, and the director Colin Trevorrow, who was supposed to shoot the ninth episode, complained that he was not able to work with Boyega.

Mark Hamill he noted that “has never been so proud of an artist.” The actor was supported by the studio Lucasfilmcalling him a “hero.”

The latter, however, partially fell back on the studio itself – users recalled how poorly Finn was prescribed in the new “Wars” trilogy, and several other examples in which the creators chose not principles, but money. Like when Finn and Chewbacca were cut out on a poster for the seventh episode in China.
