Company Sony added the game page Returnal on the official PlayStation website for new information and screenshots.
What’s new:
- The super-fast SSD of the PlayStation 5 console will allow you to almost instantly resume the game after death;
- Adaptive triggers will distinguish the degree of pressure and change the modes of fire from the weapon;
- Everything that happens in the game, from interacting with the heroine’s memories to shooting, will be felt through the tactile feedback of the controller;
- Three-dimensional sound will provide maximum immersion in the world: players will be able to feel how bullets whistle past, opponents circling overhead, and an invisible enemy sneaks up behind;
- From the point of view of the gameplay, the project is a roguelike shooter. Gamers will have to survive on an unfamiliar planet, fight enemies, improve abilities and explore a world that changes after each player’s death.

The protagonist of Returnal is a woman astronaut named Selena. Having made an emergency landing on an ever-changing planet, she is forced to fight for life by all means and must find a way to leave the inhospitable territory of an ancient civilization. At the same time, each death experienced for her turns not the end of history, but a return to the beginning of the journey.
Returnal hasn’t been dated yet. According to rumors, the project will be released in 2023…
