Channel SyFy released the debut trailer for the series “Day of the dead“inspired by the film of the same name by George Romero. According to the show’s author Stephen Kostanski, the new project will be linked to the original 1985 painting.
However, judging by the first trailer, the upcoming TV adaptation is very different from the classic tape, among other things, making a big bias towards comedy. The plot of the “Day of the Dead” tells about a group of people who rallied in the fight against hordes of zombies.
The authors of the series describe their project as a tribute to the work of George Romero. Their efforts to deal with the legacy of the legendary director will be appreciated in October 2023, when the premiere takes place.
