On the studio website genDesignled by the author Shadow of the colossus and The last guardian Fumito Ueda, a congratulatory message was published with footage from the game designer’s previous work, as well as a picture from a new unannounced project.
“We hope you have a great year,” says genDesign studio greeting card featuring images from Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian and an unknown fourth game.
Last year it became known that genDesign, Remedy Entertainment and Playdead (Limbo) signed publishing agreements with Epic Games… Company Tim Sweeney will fund and publish new games from all three listed studios, giving them complete creative freedom and allowing them to retain their IP rights.
Ueda’s game is expected to be released on PC and consoles. In January 2023, he published this teaser image:
