Fall 2017 Games to Look Forward to

As with every year in gaming there are a pile of solid releases that arrive during the later months of the year so here are the top Fall 2017 games to look forward to. While Fall is technically September to November, I’ve thrown in August as well since why not. I tried to find a variety of titles so hopefully there are some games that everyone will be looking for across all the platforms. This selection will range from indie games to the larger AAA releases with some first party games as well.

“August”
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice (PS4, PC)
Not only does this game look gorgeous, it also aims to tell a compelling story against its Celtic/Norse backdrop.

Lawbreakers (PS4, PC)
I’ve had a blast playing this competitive shooter each time I’ve gotten to try it, I feel that providing a paid for game as opposed to a free to play will bring better quality and I look forward to seeing how it turns out.

Agents of Mayhem (XBO, PS4, PC)
Volition is awesome, the Saints Row games are fun and this seems to be a similar yet different approach to that formula.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (PS4)
This standalone is based off the core game of Uncharted 4 providing some back story into a character that was certainly missed as of recent and it’s simply going to be incredible

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (Switch)
I thought the idea of this was stupid, but after playing the game at E3 it’s got a lot of heart and was fun.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm
Get ready to cry, or well be very sad. I didn’t know how amazing this game could potentially be until I viewed it at E3, love the first season as well.

Fall 2017 Games to Look Forward to
“September”
Destiny 2 (XBO, PS4, PC)
I sort of have to include this, Bungie’s second of their ten year series aims to bring more.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite (XBO, PS4, PC)
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen something new for this fighting franchise, it’s about time and it looks massive with its roster.

Project Cars 2 (XBO, PS4, PC)
From what I saw of Project Cars 2 from E3 this past year, the game is looking stunning and I’m sure for fans of racing this will be a series to get no matter what platform you’re on.

Cuphead (XBO, PC)
I’m still not sure this is actually coming since it’s been in development so long, but classic cartoons and incredible coop action could make this amazing.

Destiny 2 Fall 2017 Games to Look Forward to
“October”
Forza Motorsport 7 (XBO, PC)
The standard of racing, Forza only grows larger with more tracks and cars while also improving the dynamic weather.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War (XBO, PS4, PC)
Everyone loves the first game for its intense remembrance system upon death and this game takes the world to a larger place in Middle Earth.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole (XBO, PS4, PC)
Another one of those, if it is actually happening this time games. The first similar South Park game was awesome, this will probably be as well.

Super Mario Odyssey (Switch)
Finally, another 3D Mario game. It’s got a hat, the hat can do things. This will do well mostly likely.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins (XBO, PS4, PC)
They took some extra time with this Assassin’s Creed and I like Eygpt so this might be good. Regular fans will hype it regardless.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (XBO, PS4, PC)
The first Wolfenstein of the generation was awesome with a classic style of shooter, this one continues that but in America so prepare for a blast.

Star Wars Fall 2017 Games to Look Forward to
“November”
Call of Duty: WWII
It’s actually refreshing to see the series head back to its actual roots and from what I saw at E3 it was good and different.

Crackdown 3 (XBO, PC)
Crackdown is awesome, prepare for a larger world of coop action. The multiplayer is supposed to feature next level destruction so we’ll have to see how this turns out. Terry Crews is also pumped for this one.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 (XBO, PS4, Switch, PC)
Too many heroes basically, LEGO games are awesome and this series really stands out.

Star Wars Battlefront II (XBO, PS4, PC)
It’s looking really, really good. I’m serious, they seem to have fixed all issues I had with the first game while making it look better and including all the eras of Star Wars along with a full campaign. Be ready to be blown away.
