F1 2023 from EA turned out to be much more expensive on Steam compared to the previous part

April 15th Codemasters and EA officially introduced the racing simulator F1 2023which will go on sale on July 16th. After the announcement, the game immediately became available for pre-order, but the network drew attention to the greatly changed price of the game in Steam compared to last year’s part.

According to SteamDB, the cost of new items has increased in almost all regions, and in many of them we are talking about a two-fold or even three-fold rise in price.… Of 41 regions, the price has not changed only in the United States, where the game is still sold for $ 60, while in Russia the new part of Formula 1 has risen in price in comparison with the previous one. 176% – from 1,085 rubles to 2.999 rubles… In Ukraine, the increase was 114% – from 699 hryvnia to 1,499 hryvnia

Argentina has been hit hardest by price increases, where F1 2023 sells for 650 Argentine pesos and F1 2023 will cost $ 3,600 AR, up by 454%, as well as Turkey (+ 357%), South Africa (+ 204%), South Asia (+ 200%) and Kazakhstan (+ 182%).

At the same time, if you convert the local currency into dollars, you will notice that about half of the countries technically still sell the game cheaper than the United States. For example, in China, Argentina and Russia, the cost of F2 2023 when translated into US currency is slightly less 40 dollars

Codemasters has not yet commented on the game’s price hike. Users attribute this to the recent transfer of the studio under the wing of Electronic Arts. F1 2023 will be published by EA, while the studio released the previous parts on its own.
