Executive producer of God of War will create exclusives for Stadia – Google opens another studio

Company Google continues to open new studios for the development of exclusive AAA-class games for the cloud platform Stadia. Supervisor Stadia Games and Entertainment Jade Raymond announced today joining the group of internal developers of the ex-chapter SIE Santa Monica Studio Shannon Studstill. Before leaving Sony she was an executive producer God of war and was responsible for restarting the series with Corey Barlog.

At Google, Studstill will lead a completely new team that will work in the California area of ​​Playa Vista near Los Angeles. The task of the studio will be the creation of new exclusive IP.

Apparently, in the future team they plan to work on several projects at once. New mechanics and the use of social features of Stadia, described back at the platform’s presentation a year ago, are welcome.

In December 2019, Google acquired the Canadian Typhoon studioswhose debut project was a cooperative adventure action Journey to the Savage Planet.

Typhoon Studios has industry veterans, including senior producer of the original Splinter Cell and superheroic action movie Batman: Arkham Knight, development manager for The Sims 2 and Spore, and creative director of Assassin’s Creed 3 and Far Cry 4.
