Work on a full-length tetralogy Rebuild of Evangelion started fourteen years ago, and we still haven’t seen the final part, Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time… It was originally planned to be released in 2015. The latest transfers are to blame for the Covid 19 pandemic, but quarantine in Japan should be lifted soon.
In anticipation of this event, the creators of the tetralogy announced a new premiere date: March 8th. They hope the cinemas will open by then. But if this does not happen, another transfer will await us.
So far, Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time will be seen by fans of the series only in Japan. The length of the tape will be 2 hours 34 minutes, which is a record for remake films.
In the world of “Evangelion”, humanity for some unknown reason is attacked by “angels”, protected by a mental-spiritual field. Only biorobots-Evangelions can cope with them, and only “children” can control the mechs: 14-year-olds with special abilities.
