Epic Games withdrew the Pandemic game for free – probably due to news about the coronavirus

This week in Epic Games Store had to give out free three party strategies from the publisher Asmodee digital, including Ticket to ride about rail transportation, Carcassonne the seizure of the territories of medieval France and Pandemic, where gamers are tasked with saving the world from the spread of deadly diseases.

The last, as it became known today, the store decided to temporarily withdraw from distribution. About this representative of Epic Games said in a commentary to VGC.

“We put off the free Pandemic release in our store until later. Ticket to Ride and Carcassonne will still be available as free games of the week from February 6th to 13th.”

Epic Games Press Service did not explain the reason for this decision, but most likely the situation is related to the outbreak of coronavirus. The company does not want to further escalate the situation with a game about diseases. Recent reports claim epidemic kills 360 people, 17 thousand are considered sick.

In mid-January, it was announced that weekly giveaways at the Epic Games Store would last until the end of 2023.
