EA postpones all eSports events due to coronavirus – review

The coronavirus epidemic is still not defeated, and continues to affect the e-sports world. Company Electronic arts announced that it was suspending all its e-sports events: both those organized by the company itself and those held under license from EA.

The following tournaments have been postponed for an indefinite period:

  • Apex Legends Global Series;
  • EA Sports FIFA 20 Global Series;
  • FIFA Online 4 Live Events;
  • Madden NFL 20 Championship Series.

The ban will not affect all tournaments that take place online, they will be held according to the scheduled schedule. Including Apex Legends Global Series Online Tournamentwhich will open on March 21.

Earlier, EA announced that it recommended that all its employees in America, Europe and Australia work remotely until April 1. The company’s offices in Shanghai, Singapore, Seoul and Milan are already closed, the entire state is sent home.
