Recently Polish studio Techland promised to tell how the work on Dying light 2… For a long time before that, all the news about the game related solely to what a terrible atmosphere developed in the studio and how eminent developers, including Chris Avellone, disappear from the process.
The situation in the studio was called “production hell” by the players. However, the team representatives were quick to refute this opinion.
According to Techland, the definition of “production hell” implies that the development of the game is not progressing. In the case of DL2, this is not the case, the process goes on and on and on. It’s just that the studio announced the game too early.
As we remember, the announcement of Dying Light 2 took place at the conference Microsoft within the framework E3 2018, and the main feature of the game was called the participation of Avellone. However, last summer, after a wave of accusations and “cancellations” of the iconic screenwriter, Techland announced a complete cessation of cooperation.
Techland approvesthat Dying Light 2 is not canceled. She also are not going release to early access. And we will be able to find out how things really are and, probably, see the evidence with our own eyes on Wednesday, March 17th.
