According to the portal GRY Onlinedue to transfer Cyberpunk 2077 in the Polish publishing house CDP there was a big wave of layoffs. Potentially, the company may completely close.
According to the publication Polski gamedev, CDP did not know in advance what the game could transfer, and prepared a lot of marketing materials, including boxes, posters and even gadgets with a mention of an irrelevant release date.
While the publisher does not know how it will act, but is looking for various options for further work. In addition, the company continues to collect pre-orders, and CD Projekt RED Already confirmed that all pre-orders issued will be implemented.
It is worth noting that CDP is not directly related to CD Projekt or CD Projekt RED, only acting as the publisher of many popular titles in Poland, including Cyberpunk 2077. If the company ceases to exist, RPGs will be able to publish:
- Cenega – Bandai Namco partner and current publisher of Dying Light 2 in Poland;
- Koch media (Deep Silver).
In the past year Techland closed its publishing division in Poland, concentrating resources on the production of Dying Light 2.
