Confirming previous rumors, the project was dedicated to a new era – the period Supreme Republic (High Republic) 200 years before the prequel events, during the heyday of the Jedi Order.
This is an optimistic period, full of hope, when the Jedi really stood guard over peace and order, and the Galactic Republic flourished, expanding its borders on the Outer Frontiers.
The plots will also feature a huge space station, which serves as a kind of beacon for uncharted zones, which was also known before. In addition, readers will be shown both old and new places.
The main idea, according to the authors of the initiative, is to create new stories and new characters that have not appeared before. Original concept Luminosa was invented back in 2014, and future stories represent only the “first phase”.
Five authors are involved in storytelling: Claudia Gray (Lost Stars, Teacher and Student), Justin Ireland (Lendo’s Luck), Cavan Scott (Dooku: The Lost Jedi), Daniel Jose Alder (Last Shot) and Charles Soul (Lando, Poe Dameron).
The initiative starts with the Chals Soul novel The Jedi Lightat the beginning of which “something terrible will happen.” The book comes out on August 25th. Claudia Gray’s novel will appear on October 13 “Into the darkness” – about a young Padawan who, against his will, begins to take an active part in saving the galaxy.
In addition, the first wave of stories will include the Marvel comics line “Higher Republic” Cavanana Scott, whose action will unfold on the very space station-lighthouse. In addition, a youth story will be released Courage Test Justin Ireland and Daniel Alder’s Second IDW Comic Book Series.
