Deathloop takes place on a tropical island, and the main character, Colt, is here trapped in a time loop. He lives the same day time after time, until one day he finds a way to break the loop and escape.
To achieve liberation, Colt must kill eight people – they are the ones who maintain the loop. But this must be done in one day: if at least one survives, everything will return to square one. Fortunately, an open world and time are on our side: you can study, make plans, try and play endlessly, each time becoming more experienced and stronger.
On the island no one wants to disturb the usual order of affairs, so that the entire population will oppose Colt. But the main thing is that his most dangerous opponent, Juliana Black, is ready for anything not to let Colt out of the trap.
Each of the main characters has its own strengths. Colt can crack devices and be reborn after death. And Juliana is able to take the guise of any resident of the island, and all NPCs are ready to help her.
What is most interesting is that another player can play the role of Juliana. An artificial intelligence-driven opponent breaks into events from time to time if PvP capabilities are turned off. But if you turn them on, Juliana will sometimes be “alive”, and this unpredictability gives the game additional dynamics.
Deathloop will be a temporary exclusive to the PlayStation 5 console. After that, the game will be released on PC.
