Studio Bungie confirmed that multiplayer shooter Destiny 2 in versions for next generation consoles will come out December 8 this year… Despite the fact that the game through the backward compatibility system will be available at launch Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X / S, fully optimized with support for higher resolutions and higher frame rates, it will appear on new consoles one month after their debut.
Technical parameters of the updated version:
- PS5: 4K and 60 FPS, free upgrade for PS4 game owners;
- Xbox series x: 4K and 60 FPS, free upgrade for owners of the game on Xbox One;
- Xbox series s: 1080p and 60 FPS, free upgrade for Xbox One owners.
Bungie said that the updated version will boast faster downloads and offer improvements when viewing characters’ inventory. However, in some cases, loading times will depend on the quality of the network and the matchmaking system.
Among other things, for the first time on consoles, the creators will add a choice of angle of view (FOV), and the ability to crossgen play will allow Xbox Series X / S owners to play with Xbox One owners, and PlayStation 5 players with PlayStation 4 gamers.
