Film company Warner Bros. Pictures presented the debut trailer new screen version of the cult science fiction novel by Frank Herbert “Dune“. The film was directed by Denis Villeneuve – author “Captives“, “Arrivals“and”Blade Runner 2049“.
Dune tells the story of Paul Athreides and his journey full of mystery and danger. The main character is destined for fate, whose greatness he is not yet able to comprehend. An intelligent and talented young man must travel to the most dangerous planet in the galaxy to defend the future of his family and his people. Hostile forces exacerbate the conflict in the struggle for the right to supply the most valuable resource in the universe, which is mined only on this planet – a substance that can reveal the enormous potential of humanity, but gives life only to those who are able to overcome their fear.

One of the features of the new “Dune” is a rich cast, including many stars of the first magnitude. Besides Timothy Chalamet, who performed the main role, also starred in the film Rebecca Ferguson (“Mission Impossible: Consequences”) Oscar Isaac (“Star Wars”), Josh Brolin (“Avengers: Infinity War”) Stellan Skarsgard (“Chernobyl”), Dave Batista (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) Zendaya (“Spider-Man: Homecoming”) Jason Momoa (“Aquaman”), Javier Bardem (“Skyfall Coordinates”) and others.
Villeneuve himself wrote the script together with John Spates (“Prometheus”) and Eric Rothwho have had their hands on many iconic tapes, including “Forrest Gump”, “Ali” and “The Curious Story of Benjamin Button”.
The premiere of the film in Russian cinemas will take place December 17th this year…
