David Hayter: Metal Gear Solid Remake Could Really Be In Development

Actor David Hayteras the voice of Snake in most parts Metal gear solid, recently took part in a stream with blogger Dan Allen to discuss his future projects and more.

At some point, we were talking about a possible reboot of the first Metal Gear Solid. Hayter said that he heard rumors about this, but at first he did not attach any importance to them, until the other day he received a message from one of his familiar insiders. He told him that the remake could indeed be in development.e.

“It’s still a rumor, but now it’s an industry rumor, and they tend to be a little more accurate.”

He also noted that for the remake MGS1 developers will have to re-record all voice acting, because for the original game the sound was recorded almost in everyday conditions and does not reach the audio capabilities of modern consoles. In theory, one could pull records from Twin snakes for Gamecube, but here Hayter is also not sure that their quality corresponds to today’s level.

At the same time, Hayter himself is even now ready to voice any of the Snakes again, but since he only heard about the remake from an insider, it seems that he was not invited to the project, if one is being created at all.
