Dauntless developers now owned by Singapore-based Garena – review

Company Garena bought an independent Canadian studio Phoenix labsknown for co-operative shareware action movie Dauntless. The buyer plans to further develop the game, as well as create and publish new projects, including for mobile devices.
The head and co-founder of Phoenix Labs, Jesse Houston, emphasized that Garena has supported the Canadian studio since its inception. And now, with the help of a global publisher, developers can make their project even better and introduce even more players to it.

Phoenix Labs currently has about a hundred employees. The studio has offices in Vancouver, San Francisco and Seattle. In 2019, the studio released the action movie Dauntless on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. And a month ago she announced that the number of players exceeded 15 million.

Garena – a division of Singapore Internet company Sea limited. The organization’s activities mainly take place in Southeast Asia, although its individual units operate throughout the world.
