Cult RPG Reborn: Blizzard Officially Unveils Diablo II: Resurrected Remake – Trailer and Announcement Details

Presentation held today BlizzConline was noted with a loud announcement of a remake Diablo II: Resurrected… At the same time, all the key information was known in advance – the rumor that appeared in the morning was fully confirmed.

The reissue of the iconic action RPG takes the classic 2000 game based on 2D sprites and re-creates it with full 3D physics rendering, dynamic lighting, revamped animation, spell effects and more. Updated graphics support resolutions up to 4K with speed 60 FPS, however players can return to the original classic picture at any time with the press of a button – like in Halo 1-2 Anniversary… In addition, the developers also promise reworked sound with support for Dolby Surround 7.1 and almost half an hour of redrawn frame by frame cutscenes.

Although from a visual point of view, Resurrected looks like a completely new game, the trademark gameplay and systems of the original Diablo II remain unchanged, with the exception of a few frequently requested improvements, such as a shared cache. Remake will include base game and expansion Lord of Destruction.

Diablo II: Resurrected is due out before the end of this year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (in Battle.net) with cross-platform progression across all platforms. Later this year, the developers will hold a technical alpha among PC users, which you can apply for now.
