According to the author of the series God of war David Jaffe, the protagonist of the game Kratos has never been a woman hater. The game designer said this from his Twitter page in response to criticism of some players who compare the brutal character from the original trilogy with his version from the 2018 project.
“I have to constantly argue that Kratos was never a woman-hater in the first God of War. As in all other parts. And it freaks me out that journalists continue to slurp this topic to justify their theses about the plot in God of War (2018).” – says David Jaffe.
Going deeper into the question, the creator of God of War continued to defend his character, emphasizing that hate and distrust of women is a misogyny, and this does not apply to Kratos.
“Does Kratos use women for his own selfish purposes? Yes, it is indisputable. Do they use it? Who knows. But they have a good time together (and we clearly show it). If you think that random sex is by mutual agreement, when the only reason , according to which you want to have sex, is your personal satisfaction, is misogyny, then so be it. But I have never heard such a definition of this term, “the developer said.
The God of War franchise has always been famous for having explicit scenes, including sexual ones. So, in every part of the series, except the last, a mini-game was presented in which Kratos had sex with women.
David Jaffe worked on the original God of War and its sequel, the development of which he had already led along with Corey Barlog. The latter eventually became the development manager of the last game of the 2018 series.
