Introducing the new product, Creative noted that the sound quality of compact soundbars is usually limited by their size, which makes it impossible to create a wide sound stage. SXFI CARRIER, in turn, despite being only 88cm wide, provides a wide soundstage using new technologies developed in conjunction with Dolby. This is the first DASS soundbar on the market.
“We are inspired by partnering with Creative to create the first of its kind DASS soundbar,” said Malesh Balakrishnan, vice president of Dolby Laboratories. “Customers will get the full Dolby Atmos sound from a device of this compact form factor that we developed with Creative.”
SXFI Carrier is also the world’s first soundbar with technology Super X-Fi Headphone Holographyreceived 15 awards at CES 2019. Super X-Fi reenacts the soundstage in the headphones as if you were in a room with a full multi-speaker audio system, and you can use it by connecting the headphones to the corresponding soundbar connector, the developers said.
SXFI CARRIER has many connection interfaces: Bluetooth, USB-C and USB-A ports, an HDMI eARC connector for uncompressed HD sound, and 2 HDMI 2.1 connectors that can skip video in resolutions up to 8K.
The start of sales of SXFI Carrier is planned in the second quarter of 2023 at a price up to $ 1,000.
SXFI Gen.2 – Second Generation SXFI
SXFI technology creates a sound stage in the headphones similar to that available in a specially designed room with a high-quality multi-channel audio system installed in it.
Super X-Fi Gen.2 differs from the first version by the preservation of more details, improved positioning quality. The clarity of sound has also increased.
Thanks to this, Super X-Fi gen.2 was even better suited for games, and Creative announced at CES 2023 the latest gaming headset SXFI GAMER with Super X-Fi technology of the second version. The device will also be available in the second quarter of 2023..
For owners of devices with Super X-Fi technology of the first version, a firmware update will be available to get all the advantages of the new technology, including reduced power consumption of the device when SXFI is turned on.
Hybrid reinforcing headphones were also presented. SXFI TRIO and AURVANA WIRELESS with Super X-Fi technology.
