“Correct Injustice”: Players raised the theme of the re-voice of Nadine from Uncharted 4 by a black actress

On the forum Resetet a topic was opened in which users raised the issue of the re-voice of Nadine Ross, featured in Uncharted 4 and one of the main characters Uncharted: Lost Legacy. The fact is that a white actress gave her voice to a black heroine Laura Bailey – this is the essence of the claim.

The author of the topic considers it unfair that the only black character in the lead role in the entire Uncharted franchise is voiced by a white actress, who also imitates a South African accent. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that large-scale projects involved a small number of black actors, from whom white actors take away roles.

In addition, the author of the post conducted a survey, according to which 55.8% panelists expressed dissatisfaction with the involvement of a white actress in the role of black, whereas 44.2% voters supported this choice of Naughty Dog.

Earlier, Neil Drakmann claimed that actors of different skin colors and nationalities auditioned for the role of Nadine Ross, however, Laura Bailey excelled them all in skill.

Those dissatisfied with this fact believe that the game should be re-sounded, especially against the background of the fact that Naughty Dog now actively supports the black community.
