Console keyboard and mouse support, new map for Halo 3 and more – details of the upcoming Halo: MCC update

According to the latest Halo Waypoint blog post, the studio 343 Industries prepares a new network card for Halo 3… Yes, almost 14 years after its release, the iconic shooter Bungie will receive a new content update.

This, however, is only about the re-release of the game from the collection Halo: The Master Chief Collection… The location will be available for testing as part of the next public “flight” of the MCC next week, 18th February… At the moment, little is known about her, except that the map looks like a military base located in glaciers and was taken from a closed F2P shooter Halo Online from Saber Interactive… Until canceled in 2016, the game was only available in Russia under the CBT.

In addition to the map for Halo 3, the new MCC test flight will add the following:

  • Custom Games Browser;
  • Season 6 content;
  • FOV adjustment for all consoles of the Xbox One family;
  • Access to FOV setting on Xbox Series S / X when playing in 120Hz mode;
  • Keyboard and mouse support for consoles;
  • Advanced sound options;
  • Dual control layout;
  • View the character model while setting it up.

In the same blog update, 343i announced that it currently froze the development of the sub-series Halo Wars… The studio is now fully focused on supporting Halo: The Master Chief Collection and developing Halo: Infinite
