Co-founder of CD Projekt participates in the opening of a new publishing house – Igromania

Michal Kichinsky, who together with Marcin Ivinsky founded the company in 1994 CD Projekt, back in 2010, retired and seemed to leave the gaming industry forever, opening a vegan restaurant. However, he is now re-founding a new studio, but with no focus on AAA games.

Independent publishing house Gaming Companywho released a retro shooter Project warlock and a turn-based strategy game about the Warsaw Uprising Warsaw, now turns into a company Retrovibe… It will be headed by Krzysztof Paplinsky and Michal Affelsky, co-founders of the Gaming Company.

Kichinsky, who retained about 11% of CD Projekt’s shares, is not on the board of directors of the new publishing house, but acts as an investor and is listed in the company’s register.

Retrovibe is already releasing five new retro games: Project warlock 2, Janosik 2, B.I.O.T.A, The looter and Shardpunk: Verminfall… In addition, she continues to support the previously published Project Warlock and Janosik

The new publishing house invites studios whose projects correspond to the general line of Retrovibe to cooperation, and promises not to interfere with the creative vision of the developers. In addition, a series of live broadcasts has been announced Live dev, during which the studios will be able to show their projects and talk about the work on them.

Retrovibe is going to cooperate with the store GOGso that fans of retro games always have access to information about interesting projects in the style of new retro.
