Company Asus introduced the technology of intelligent noise reduction in the microphone (AI Mic), which eliminates extraneous noise, leaving only the clear sound of the voice. She spoke in detail about this in an official press release.
According to the developers, the built-in processor with an algorithm based on an artificial intelligence system emits the user’s voice and eliminates all other sounds: conversations of other people nearby, wind noise or the sounds of passing cars. This technology has been implemented in the new ASUS microphone adapter and a number of ROG gaming headsets.
More precisely, it was first implemented in the ASUS USB-C> 3.5 mm microphone adapter. The adapter is compatible with any headset with a 3.5 mm plug and provides, according to the creators, a clear sound of the user’s voice.
“The internal processor integrated in the adapter is responsible for processing the incoming audio signal, so the adapter does not affect the performance of the smartphone, PC or laptop to which it is connected. This adapter weighs only 8 grams and is also endowed with technology ASUS Hyper-Grounding to minimize distortion due to electromagnetic interference in audio transmission. In some regions, this adapter will be available with the USB Type-C> Type ‑ A adapter, ”ASUS explained.
