Circus with anime and court or How in St. Petersburg “Death Note” and “Elven Song” were forbidden

A meeting was held today in Kolpinsky District Court of St. Petersburg, which considered a ban on the distribution of anime series. What is happening can be described in one word – circus.

Links to pirate sites were banned at the meeting jut.su and yummyanime.clubthrough which you can watch the following animation projects: “Elven song“,”Tokyo ghoul“,”Death note“and”Inuyashiki“Due to the fact that the court’s decision has not yet been published, suspicions arose that the aforementioned anime series were completely banned from being shown in Russia.

However, later chapter United Press Service of St. Petersburg Courts Daria Lebedeva clarified that specific links were banned.

“What RIA Novosti and everyone else wrote is nonsense … The expert opinion says that there is an impact on the psychological state of children, their legal rights are violated, and there is no 18+ qualification on the website,” she said in an interview edition “Moscow speaking“.

During the consideration of the issue to the judge Dmitry Nikulin anime series were shown, which were broadcast … directly from pirate sites (nudity included). What was happening was commented on by the so-called “specialists”: head of the Department of Family Pedagogy Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education Oleg Erlikh and employee Petersburg Institute of Independent Expertise and Evaluation Vasily Belov

In particular, Ehrlich insists that the name of the anime “Death Note” allegedly exerts pressure on the child, inclining him to suicidal thoughts. He also argues that modern teens are developing slowly and are more vulnerable and sensitive than their predecessors.

“I would further extend the age gradation that protects children, adolescents, young people from such materials,” the expert said “in jest.

“Such scenes form the future generation of murderers and sadists. Through the image, the psyche is reformatted, laid down. In the future, we will face a society of murderers and sadists,” Belov described the anime “Elven Song”.

At the next meeting, the court plans to consider the banning of several more anime projects, including “Naruto“as well as songs MorgensternI ate grandfather“.

The administration of yummyanime.club has already thanked the prosecutor’s office and the court for advertising its portal, recalling the “Streisand effect”. Blocking the broadcast of the court session on the portal became the cherry on top Youtube by copyright holders for copyright infringement.
