Earlier it was reported that the picture will be performed in the format of a family comedy, and Cheburashka will be recreated on the screen using computer graphics. The film will not quote the old story verbatim, for example, there will be no crocodile Gena in it, but the Cheburashka himself will remain the same mischievous eared animal. The tape’s budget is estimated at 600 million rubles.
The full-length “Cheburashka” will be directed by Dmitry Dyachenko (“What Men Talk About”, “Kitchen in Paris”, “The Last Bogatyr”) script by the authors of the “Last Bogatyr” trilogy, led by Vitaly Shlyappo… Production is scheduled to begin this year.
