CD Projekt RED in honor of the recent anniversaries of the second and third “The Witchers” chose the best mods for the games in the series.
First of all, the mod distinguished itself The Witcher Overhaul Project, which adds high-resolution textures to the debut part of the series and improves the sound.
The second place was taken by another mod for the first part of the franchise – Rise of the White Wolf Enhanced Edition… This set includes not only improved textures and a redesigned interface, but also fresh cutscenes with Buttercup, new armor and much more.
Then follows Masquerade – a new story for the same first part with a detective plot and a couple of additional quests.
In fourth place is another set to improve textures (environment), but already for “Assassins of Kings” – Better Texture Environment…
Then the list included an unfinished story mod for a sequel called Lykaon…
It includes several quests and dialogues. The project was not completed because the author Philip Weber left to work in CD Projekt RED itself as a quest designer, and one of his tasks from the mod came in addition “Blood and Wine” to the third “Witcher”.
Farewell of the White Wolf – a fan epilogue to the series, which tells about the wedding of Geralt and Yennefer. Created on the engine of the second part.
The seventh position was taken by the mod for improving faces in “Wild Hunt” – High quality faces… In the video below you can see examples from 1:46.
Another mod for the third part, which improves the grass in the game – Beautiful grass…
Another mod touched on the coverage of the finale of Geralt’s trilogy – Phoenix Lighting Mod…
And the last place was taken by a grandiose project The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project, which replaced the models and textures, making them more detailed.
