CBS will release the Silence of the Lambs spin-off as a drama series about Clarissa Starling

American Television and Radio Network Cbs prepares the continuation of the 1991 thriller “Silence of the Lambs” entitled “Clarissa“. They plan to release it in the form of a series about a brave intern Clarissa Starling, sent by the FBI to fetch useful information from Hannibal Lector.

Show runners will perform Alex Kurtzman (“People like us”, “Mummy”) and Jenny Lumet (Star Trek: Discovery, Rachel Gets Married).

The series will take place in 1993, a year after the events of Silence of the Lambs. Starling returns to his job of catching serial killers and sexual rapists, plunging into the political squabbles of the city of Washington, DC.

The release date of the series is still unknown.

Jodie Foster, who played Clarissa in the original film, won the Academy Award for Best Actress. In total, the film crew took away five figurines from the presentation ceremony, including for the best film of the year. In 2001, the sequel “Silence of the Lambs” was released, starring Julianne Moore.
