Company MY.GAMES announced the start of a themed season titled “Roy“in its shareware shooter Warface, Together with which a special operation of the same name appeared with new opponents and unique weapons to fight them.
The Seasonal Update also includes new PvP maps and a Battle Pass, and players can unlock themed weapon series, stylized skins, key chains, and other rewards.
During the passage of the special operation “Swarm”, the players will have to face new opponents – arachnids protected by hard chitinous shells.
The developers emphasize that to complete all 4 acts will require close-knit teamwork that can escort valuable cargo and defeat a strong boss. The Hephaestus flamethrower, available only in a special operation, will help in confronting hordes of mutant beetles.
In addition, new PvP maps have appeared in the “Grinder” mode: “Alleyways 2.0”, which is a small Middle Eastern village with winding streets, and “Outskirts 2.0”, which takes place in the slums of a South American city. The “Team battle” mode has been replenished with an atmospheric “Tunnel” map based on the events of the “Swarm” special operation.
The update also added 4 new weapon models to Warface’s arsenal: the Ruger Mk IV Lite pistol, the improved SAI GRY LMG machine gun, the IWI Carmel assault rifle, and the “Reaper” pistol, made in the style of the “Swarm” season and featuring a special animation in standby mode.
In addition to new weapons, players will be able to get a collection of outfits for the appearance of the Arachnid squad, the Chitin and Toxin weapon series, trinkets and other themed rewards available as part of a free battle pass.
Finally, the developers recalled that support for the technology was added to Warface earlier this month. NVIDIA Reflexthat allows you to measure and reduce system latency in the game.
New technology from NVIDIA enables faster PC and display responsiveness to mouse and keyboard input, greatly increasing the chances for players to win competitive shooters.
