Studio developers Bungie stated that don’t plan on releasing Destiny 3 sci-fi shooter. Instead, they intend to continue to focus on development Destiny 2, for which three new extensions were announced last night. The last of them is due out in late 2023. The studio will inform about further plans for the game in addition.
In appeal to the players, the leading producer of Destiny 2 Justin Truman He said that the team came up with how to deal with the growing size of the shooter, because with the release of add-ons it takes up more and more space.
To do this, Bungie will create the Destiny Content Vault ecosystem, within which every year it will remove the most unpopular content from the game so that it does not lie dead weight, and players can focus only on what is really interesting to them and new extensions.
In the fall, Destiny 2 will be released on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, where it can work in 4K at 60FPS. The game will also have a free version on all platforms.
“We are not working on Destiny 3,” Truman emphasized.
Destiny 2 premiered in 2017. In early 2019, Bungie broke off publishing with Activision Blizzard and now runs the franchise itself.
