Bungie and Ubisoft have teamed up against cheat creators in court

Bungie and Ubisoft filed a class action lawsuit against Ring-1, the creators of cheats for Destiny 2, Rainbow Six Siege, Rust, Apex Legends, Call of Duty, Escape from Tarkov, Hunt: Showdown, Dead by Daylight, PUBG and other games.

Cheats are distributed on a subscription basis for 25 euros per week for a set of cheats for Rainbow Six Siege and 30 euros per week for a set of cheats for Destiny 2.

Bungie and Ubisoft believe that Ring-1 degrades and destroys the gaming experience, as well as the entire business and reputation of the companies among the player community.

In addition, Ring-1 was accused of trademark infringement, as the cheat purchase page for Destiny 2 and Rainbow Six Siege contains key art from the games.

The claim does not specify the amount that Bungie and Ubisoft are seeking to recover for damages. The amount of damage must be proven in court. According to the plaintiffs, it could amount to millions of dollars.

Bungie has previously teamed up against cheat creators in court with Riot Games.
